Democrats throughout the nation have not hesitated to admonish the current administration for failing to prevent the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The most vocal have been the members of the 9/11 Commission who day after day, week after week, make headline news out of their accusatory statements that 9/11 could have been averted. Their premise might be true. The United States may have very well failed to take head of the warning signs of Al Q'aeda and Osama Bin Laden. America should have tried to rid the earth of these freedom-hating, American antagonists as soon as they knew of their destructive plot against us.
There is just one question whose answer has been at the very most, muddled
and unclear. How, my Democratic friends, should the United States have suppressed
these terrorists? What should President Bush or the FBI/CIA have done?
An afternoon tea in the White House with some of the most evil beings to ever
walk the earth just would not have cut it.
The way, that is, the ONLY way to have accomplished this, would have been through
fierce, relentless, and powerful destruction of their leaders and training camps,
directed at the mountains of Afghanistan or the desserts of Iraq. There is no
other way to have penetrated their networks. What will it take to admit that
violence is the only language terrorists understand? When people place no value
on the sacredness of the human life for their own family members and countrymen,
they certainly feel nothing for the lives of their enemies.
Why is it that ever since 9/11 the Democrats refused to admit that the American
and International troops sent to target these terrorists at their very core,
in Iraq, has not only been necessary, but has been the exclusively fundamental
option available. Apparently, liberal Democrats are quick to Bush bash at their
convenience.
Democrats cannot on the one hand blast their leaders for failing to prevent
9/11 and the build up of anti-American sentiments worldwide while lamenting
over the manner in which the Bush administration is trying to prevent another
terrorist plot on our homeland. Either you believe that violence is wrong in
all instances and on all occasions, or you believe that it is necessary in ultimately
preserving this great nation for as long as it might take.
To criticize America for allowing September 11th to happen is essentially asking
America why it did not destroy Osama Bin Laden before he carried out his plan.
And the sole manner of destroying Osama Bin Laden would have been the exact
method being currently implemented world-wide and in specifically in Iraq; blowing
up, ransacking, and totally extinguishing his followers and their training camps
all throughout the region.
Accordingly, not only does America have the obligation to preemptively strike
any country that poses an even minute threat to our country, but pursuant to
their non-stop 9/11 commission investigation (which is pretty much crying over
spilled milk), Democrats should be first to admit that America was 300,000 corpses
too late when finally deciding to bring down the mass murderer Hussein.
Exactly what is to come out of this investigation? How to condemn an administration,
or how to applaud it for doing exactly what it's trying to do, avoid another
catastrophe?
And so Democrats, enjoy your freedom and revel in your safety. And just realize
the next time you condemn the war in the Middle East that you have essentially
been criticizing America since September 11, 2001 - for not bringing it on sooner.
